Lane Cove Rivergaine #2 - new and old Big Feet do well

The NSW 2016 Metrogaine moved downstream, but still in the heart of Big Footy training country for this year's 6 hour. The handy location drew a good Big Foot turnout from members both new and old. The overall winners were WHO's Andy Hill and our own Mounty who cleared the course in about 4 hours 40.  Paula Shingler and Cath Chalmers took out the Veteran Women's division and were second woman's team, whilst another all Big Foot team of 6 hour rogaine specialist Amanda Mackie (newly signed from Mountain Devils) and Alison Wilkinson came 3rd in the VW class, narrowly beating Wiz and Saacha as they wrapped up 3rd in the Mixed Vets.

In the women's Super Vets, Big Foot pair Pauline Evans and Helen Smith were runners up to veteran orienteers Robyn Pallas and Hilary Wood by just 30 points.

and finally, two Big Foot teams missed out on clearing the course by a single control: Brooner and Bart, who couldn't work out to get to #94, but finished with an hour plus to spare and Mark Shingler and Andy, who omitted #103 because they were too old and too slow. Which I reluctantly concede is a 10 point edge to BroonerBart.
