SSS Longueville - Richard's Redemption (just)

Richard Green won a challenging Summer Series at Longueville today, making amends for his last appearance at Longueville when he was disqualified for running out of bounds. He did come perilously close to getting another no result, but for different reasons, whilst the event itself was almost thwarted by a most unusual occurence for Lane Cove, if not for Big Foot....

This time around Richard was almost his own nemesis. Arriving from the finish at the download table he found that the downoad box was temporarily unavailable.  With the unit unavailable he waggled his finger around and plunged his SI stick towards an SI box lying around on the desk... which was the clear unit. Quick intervention by the finish team saved his winning run from being zapped.

In other news, the curse of Big Foot struck again as organisers Michael and Connie manage to get their car bogged whilst putting out controls. The event gear got rescued by a club-mate and the NRMA rescued them. Feel free to find the spot in Lane Cove where its possible to bog a car without breaking the road or  maritime law.
