Metro League Cancelled 27th August

The Metro League event planned for 27th August has been cancelled. Ku-ring-gai council have advised that a large part of the area, open to the public, is not available for orienteering at this time. We apologise for the cancellation. Pre-entries have been refunded.

Great weather for Ski-O

Swiss skier Christoph Gasche (pictured below) took out the long course at this year's ski-O event ahead of Canadian skier/orienteer Caelan McLean with Victorian orienteer Warwick Davis just bagging 3rd place. A great turnout of 41 people enjoyed a beautiful day in the alps which followed a couple of very wild and woolly days.

Ali and Eoin rock the rocks

Alistair George had a good crack at positioning himself for JWOC selection with a solid 3rd place in M20E at the Australian 3 days at Wagga, whilst Eoin Rothery overcame a 3 minutes deficit entering the final event, a sprint at Charles Sturt Uni to win his class outright, but his time for JWOC may be past.

A bunch of other feet did varyingly, looks like the longest leg time any of us managed was about 40 minutes. Jock Davis, Greg Barbour, Jo Parr and Lyra all had their moments in the sun winning an individual day, but ended the weekend badgeless for one reason or another.
